Dew Drops

Dew Drops

A new pattern available at my Etsy shop. Purple and greens I'm told this is a depiction of a purple coneflower. For me it's a touch of whimsey. Very fun easy puch. I suggest you use a three strand needle. I've used 3 strand for most of the punch.. and one strand for the windows and small detail.

Have wonderful day, and as always Happy Punching!

Bunting (mixer)

Bunting (mixer)

Just in time for Memorial day and plenty of time for the fourth of July.
I have always admired the buntings hanging on porch fronts for the patriotic holidays. I'm offering a patriotic pattern I finished this past weekend. Available in my Etsy shop as a instant download or snail mail pattern. Link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/briarcottage

I am calling it a mixer. Something new I believe. To get the tone value on the shadows of the bunting folds I gathered two different colors, for example one strand of red one strand of brown and came up with a darker value for the folds. It was fun. I have color coded it so it won't be difficult to punch in this way or you may simplify and just ignore the tone value. But I believe it worked pretty well. let me know what you think?

Happy Needlework,
Kate

Garden Gate

Garden Gate

This is a older pattern that has been on my Etsy site for a while. I had the opportunity this weekend to  punch and color code it. It is punched using a three strand Red Original CTR needle. Using three strand DMC floss for the detail and Valdani #12 perle cotton for the background. I do suggest using the same needle two strand for the little blue birds.

Iris and Tulips

Two color Iris & Tulips

Good morning everyone, wow the sun is shining here in Pittsburgh, everything is turning green. It's a beautiful day.
I have a another pattern available. This is sold separately or as a pair, JPG download or printed and sent as snail mail...which ever you prefer.
This is a different design for me it was derived from a ink on paper drawing i did many years ago. It's now converted to a punch needle pattern available at my Etsy shop. It's punched using three strand DMC ball threads black and ecru. But it could be punched in any two colors you prefer...just be careful that there is a contrast between the two colors. Contrast meaning one very light one very dark.

Have a wonderful weekend!
